There was intense German pressure on Yugoslavia to collaborate with the Nazis and in March 1941 the Yugoslav government signed the Tripartite Pact.
Their theory of political action entails direct seizure of the means of production by the workers and peasants, with only a limited role for a 'vanguard party'. Marxists took the view that capitalism would concentrate and centralise the means of production, creating an economy ready for central planning (see, for example, Lenin, 1933).
