Et oui, j’ai bien sauté un jour. Fatigue + énervement = panne d’inspiration. Je blâme les furrets, bien sur.

J’ai ajouté ce petit effet de bordure aux comics. C’est assez joli mais la taille de l’image passe de 30kb à 80kb et ça pourrait nuire à la lisibilité de la page… =/Bref, des avis?

I added this little border effect to the comics. It’s pretty nice but the image sizes increases from 30kb to 80kb and it could be bad for the general page lisibility… =/

Anyway, your thoughts?

So yeah, I’ve been on vacation in south of France for 4 days, then moved to the Alps and climbed/slept in the mountains for 3. Lots of adventures there but I’ll tell you later, hopefully with pctures if I can ever recover my pics from the card that got corrupted while I was up there. ;_;

Drew a bit too, maybe I’ll post some of the sketches later.

After 4 days in Paris trying to snag those C68 doujins that never showed up , I’m back to the countryside till the end of the week.

I’m changing ISP, and the work on my line + shipment of my new modem will take 2 weeks at least. The good news is that the new connection will be cheaper and like 3x better than the current one.

J’ai rencontré Kozo/Connary sur le hub direct connect VGMCentral lors d’une discussion animée sur Kenji Ito et le Zuntata Band. Au hasard de la discussion, il posta des liens vers ses compositions personnelles, et je dois avouer que je restais soufflé. après lui avoir suggéré de faire des arrangements au piano de Romancing SaGa 3, la discussion continua et, bref, je ne sais plus trop comment mais mes dessins en furent le sujet a un moment donné.

Pour faire court, je dessinerais les pochettes de son prochain album, et probablement celui des arrangements de RS3, quand il sera prés. ^_^

I met Kozo/Connary on the VGMCentral direct connect hub while a discussion about Kenji Ito and the Zuntata Band was going on. As the discussion went on, he somehow posted links to his personal compositions, and I must say I was quite amazed. After suggesting him to do Romancing SaGa 3 piano arrangements, discussion went on, and, well, can’t remember how exactly but my drawings became the subject of it at a given moment.

To make things short, I’ll be doing the cover art of his next album, and probably the one of the RS3 arrangements, when it’ll be ready. Can’t wait. ^_^

Mon dieu. Ce matin était encore une aventure de niki le maudit au pays de la malchance. Pour faire court, j’ai passé la nuit à dessiner, préparer le dossier en vitesse avec virginie entre 8 et 9h30 du mat. Prendre le métro, quitter virginie à saint michel, trouver l’imprimerie qui devait se trouver tout prés et était en fait à l’autre bout du boulevard 15 minutes plus loin. A repartir dans l’autre sens pendant qu’ils imprimaient car ils n’acceptaient pas la carte bleue, à faire 3 distributeurs jusqu’a devoir aller au Panthéon pour en trouver un, à revenir pour voir que les impressions étaient toutes jaunes à cause de leur imprimante mal calibrée, à patienter 100 ans dans la boutique car une autre personne avait un problème, certes pris en charge après par une demoiselle charmante, mais 100 ans quand même, à finalement tirer mes impressions A4 sur des tireuses d’affiches et papier photo, ce qui donne un jolie grain mais n’est pas top quand même, à payer 24 euros, même si c’était à 50%, à partir vers saint sulpice en quittant la boutique à 12h20 (!!!), à rejoindre virginie à sa boutique à odéon, finir le dossier et aller à la mairie du 6éme où… IL A ACCEPTE MON DOSSIER!!!

Heureusement, j’avais mon cd de métal VGM sur moi.

Oh God. This morning was yet again an adventure of niki the cursed in bad luck land. To make things short, I spent the night drawing, preparing the files quickly with virginie from 8 to 9h30 am, to take the metro, leaving virginie at Saint Muchel, finding the print shop supposed to be close and in fact at the other side of the street 15 minutes away. Going back from there while they started printing my stuffs to find a working money point because they weren’t accepting payment by card, doing 3 of them before finding a working one at the Panthéon, coming back and seeing the printing were all yellow because of their badly settled printer, waiting 100 years because someone else had a problem, after that being taken care of by a charming lady, but still waiting 100 years finally getting my A4 drawings printed on a poster printer on photo paper, which is cool but gives a grainy result, paying 24 euros, even if it was 50% off, heaving to Saint Sulpice, leaving the shop at 12h20 (!!!), meeting with Virginie at her store in Odéon, completing the files, and finally going to the 6th district town hall where… THEY ACCEPTED MY SUBSCRIPTION!!!

Fortunately, I had my VGm metal CD.

Certains d’entre vous le savent déja, mais je compte depuis longtemps déja préparer ce concours qui aura lieu en octobre. J’ai déja perdu pas mal de temps, et aujourd’hui commence donc mon travail. Il est temps, car les dossiers doivent être renvoyé pour le 10 septembre. ._.

Je n’ai encore pas grande idée de ce que je vais faire. Le but étant de réaliser un oeuvre pour enfants tout en favoriant l’innovation. Je me sens un peu perdu, car l’illustration pour enfants est pleine de codes, et je ne suis pas trés versé dans l’innovation.

Enfin bref, on verra… Au boulot!
